Some people ask how we can go to the Dells every year, many times two or three times a year. One of the answers is the golf. Not just the golf at Christmas Mountain but the area itself has such a variety of courses that there is golf for every skill level of golfer. At Christmas Mountain they have 27 holes. The 18-hole course is among my favorite. The back nine in particular offers some of the most beautiful and challenging golf. Especially for the price! The 9-hole course has some fun holes and is a great course to take beginners on. Either way you could stay at the resort a whole week and just golf here. I assure you, you would not be board or disappointed. Just down the road (less then 4 miles) is one of Wisconsin's premier courses - Trappers Turn. This course features three unique 9-hole courses. One with water everywhere. One that is like the playing in the highlands, and one that has great elevation changes. This course has been named in Wisconsin's top five multiple times and is a treat to play. Other courses include The Wilderness Lodge, Baraboo Country Club. Other courses I have not played include but have heard good things about - Coldwater Canyon, Northern Bay Golf Resort & Marina.
